STYLE AND FUNCTIONALITY
STYLE and FUNCTIONALITY have to do with how the site looks, how it is organized, and how easy it is to use. A good Web site is well written, well organized, and easy to navigate.
When you find a Web site, look it over and decide if you can answer these questions:
- Is the site organized clearly and logically?
- Are the menu options clear and easy to understand?
- Is the site well written?
- Is the site easy to navigate or easy to move around in?
- Can you find the home page, or do you get lost easily?
- Do the links work? Or, do they frequently lead to a dead-end?
When you think about style and functionality, what parts of a Web site are important to you? Also think about times when you've found Web sites to be hard to use:
Was the site badly organized? Was it easy to get lost in the site? Were the links dead? What other problems did you find? Write your thoughts and ideas in the space below:
