SECTION 3: USING SEARCH ENGINES EFFECTIVELY

WHY DO RESULTS VARY FROM SEARCH ENGINE TO SEARCH ENGINE?

If you do the same search in several search engines, you will find that results vary. There are several reasons why this occurs:

  1. Because different search engines search different parts of a Web site.

  2. Because each search engine has its own unique database of Web pages.

  3. Because each search engine interprets or understands your search terms/words its own unique way.
