HYBRIDS

HYBRID SEARCH ENGINES are created by man and machines. They usually offer options to search the entire Web (database built by machines) or just the Directory (database built by humans).
Nearly every search engine today is actually a hybrid.
Their databases are quite large.
Hybrids search on words within a site (Web database), and/or on words that have been submitted with a site description (Directory).
