SECTION 2: STRATEGIES FOR LOCATING RELIABLE HIV/AIDS INFORMATION ON THE WEB

MEDLINEplus

MEDLINEplus is a one-stop-shopping Web resource for consumers who are interested in ANYTHING having to do with health care: nutrition and diet, exercise, heart disease, cancer, women's issues, and much more.

It contains subject indexes to hundreds of diseases and health topics, as well as drug information, a medical encyclopedia, and a medical dictionary.

MEDLINEplus was created by the National Library of Medicine as part of the United States' government mandate to make health care information available to the public.

MEDLINEplus is a terrific resource for consumers, patients, the general public, and even health care professionals. Both English and Spanish language versions are available.
