SECTION 2: STRATEGIES FOR LOCATING RELIABLE HIV/AIDS INFORMATION ON THE WEB

Notice on the screen below that the menu tracker is circled in red. Menu trackers are very useful for helping orient users to where they are in a site, and how they got there.

For example, we are looking at the "AIDS Basics" page, which is linked from the "Prevention" page, which was one of the main categories on the "Home" page.


The MEDICAL ISSUES navigation bar menu option lists general topic categories such as the " Knowledge Base" (comprehensive online textbook), "Treatment Resources", "Medical Literature", and so on.

Menu options appear on the LEFT, and resource links appear on the RIGHT.

If you look at the link descriptions on the right side of the screen above, you'll see that each one is given a DATE. This lets users know that the link was recently added or checked.
