INTERNET EXPLORER® BASIC FUNCTIONS: OPENING MULTIPLE BROWSER WINDOWS

Throughout this tutorial, you have opportunities to open multiple browser windows. This simply means that you have more than one Internet Explorer® window or screen open at the same time. This allows you to work on more than one Web site, moving between the browser windows as you like.

At the bottom of your computer's "desk top", you will see icons for all of the programs that you have open.

Click on any of the program icons to view that program:

If you are finished looking at a program, but do NOT want to close it, you can use the "minimize" option to send the program back to the desktop until you want to use it again:

When you are ready to CLOSE a program, click on the X
