About this Tutorial

This tutorial is designed to familiarize you with HIV/AIDS consumer health
resources on the Web.

The tutorial is made up of four separate sections:

  • Section 1: Introduction to the Web
  • Section 2: Strategies for Locating Reliable HIV/AIDS Information on the Web
  • Section 3: Using Search Engines Effectively
  • Section 4: Evaluating Web Sites

Although each of the four sections have been designed to flow logically from one to the next, each section can also be used as a stand-alone training module or refresher for those who may be more or less familiar with certain Web features and functions. For example, more experienced Web users can skip immediately to Section 2, while those who are new to the Web may want to begin with
Section 1.

A brief description of each of the tutorial's four sections is included on the next few screens. After reading the descriptions, decide where you want to begin, then click on your choice on the gray main menu bar, which is located on the far left-hand side of the screen.
