DEVELOPING YOUR SEARCH STRATEGY

Developing your search strategy is the process of:

  1. Formulating your question

  2. Selecting the best Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) or terms to describe your topic

  3. Combining the terms or sets

  4. Limiting your retrieval to appropriate references or citations (i.e., English language, human, age groups, years of publication, publication types, etc.)

  5. Viewing and evaluating the retrieval

  6. Printing or downloading relevant citations
