• In every 1/2 day of practice, physicians require up to 16 new pieces of clinically-important information.

• Only 30% of these information needs are met in the medical practice or office -- usually from conversations with colleagues.

• Barriers to meeting our information needs include a lack of time, lack of access to current textbooks, and lack of access to current journals.
