STEP BUILDING PROCESS FOR EFFECTIVE SEARCH STRATEGIES

Now that you've seen the experimental, step-building process of a search, please note a few important points:

1. Our strategy itself does not include every single element of the clinical question. Only key elements of the topic are included in the strategy.

2. Sometimes, in order to find evidence, even key elements of the topic may be eliminated from the strategy.

3. Our search is based on a step-building, trial-and-error process.

4. Experiment! Try various combinations!

5. We implement the publication types limit options "Randomized Controlled Trials" or "Evidence Based Medicine Reviews" after we have searched for and combined our key concepts.
