EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE:
SEARCHING MEDLINE FOR EVIDENCE IN THE PRIMARY MEDICAL LITERATURE

This Tutorial is designed to show you how to quickly and effectively identify the best evidence in the primary medical journal literature. This tutorial assumes that you have completed the first tutorial, Introduction to MEDLINE: Searching MEDLINE on BUMC MEDLINE Plus/OVID, and are familiar with all of the steps of a MEDLINE literature search.

This tutorial should take approximately 30 minutes to complete, and performs best using Internet Explorer. It does not work well with Netscape 6.0.

For searching assistance, questions, or clarification, or to make an appointment for in-person BUMC MEDLINE Plus/OVID training, contact a Reference Librarian at 617-638-4228 or refquest@med-libwww.bu.edu.
