Evaluating Internet Resources:
Challenges
n“Teasers” & limited free-of-charge access
n
uDoes a site contain only “teasers” -- leading you to think the information is comprehensive when it actually is not?
uDoes a formerly “free” site suddenly require a
ufee-based subscription?
uAre certain sections or pages of a site restricted to paying customers only?
Many newspapers, for example, provide what I call “teasers” -- headline or the first few sentences from an article.

For example, look at the Philadelphia Inquirer
http://www.phillynews.com/

and you’ll see that the full text of the news is NOT available online.
