It consists of sets of terms naming descriptors in a hierarchical structure that permits searching at various levels of specificity. Online In BUMC MEDLINE OVID select the TOOLS Icon (the icon looks like a wrench) at the top of the search screen. This icon is available in the MEDLINE databases.
How do I save/print out my MEDLINE OVID search strategy?Under the CITATION FORMAT option click on the checkbox next to "Include Search History" to include your search strategy as part of your printout. This is located at the bottom of the search screen. Having the search strategy available saves time if you want to duplicate the search at a later date.
